I saw many beautiful sunsets while growing up in the extremely flat farm country of Northwest Ohio, but this particular sunset was like no other. As the sun was setting, the heaviest, darkest clouds I ever saw rolled in quickly with an instant cold front. The mix of the sun and the clouds was absolutely breathtaking. This image was created from scratch in Photoshop, and shows an empty tomb with a light bursting out of the tomb. In the background are three crosses on a hill. The light burst on the low-res image online looks a bit like a white blob, but when projected onto a screen in worship, this effect looks spectacular. A number of supporting images come with this theme, including a night scene with a sealed tomb, which would make a great image to put up at the end of your Good Friday service. One church even started their Easter service with the sealed tomb image, and the lights dimmed. and then when the band started the opening song, the lights came up and the tomb burst open. Looking for music to fit with this theme? Try Ocean Floor by Audio Adrenaline! This was specifically designed to fit with that song. People were given slips of Dissolvo Paper as they walked into church. At the front was a large tank of water. Following the message, people wrote areas they struggled with on the paper, and dropped the paper in the tank as they came forward for communion. The paper vanished in the water, and the multi-sensory experience was extremely powerful.
